The course is designed for students of English at the Bachelor level. The aim of the course is to enhance the development of students‘ writing skills by providing theoretical guidelines, space for practice, and constructive criticism of their writing. Students will be instructed on issues crucial for successful production of writing, i.e. the characteristics of various types of texts, stages of the writing process, techniques of brainstorming, structuring of texts, or editing. The main focus will be placed on students‘ practice of writing skills through the production of written texts of various genres and formality levels ranging from informal through argumentative to formal genres. The students’ written performances will be scrutinized, and constructive criticism will be provided with reference to particular parts of their texts.
