Netiquette is etiquette on the Internet. In order to feel compfortable while discussing something with others in Moodle we could follow some basic rules. I hope they will help us in our forums.

  • Be polite, respectful, and acknowledge others´ opinions and ideas.
  • You can use informal writing style.
  • Use emoticons to convey emotions, but do not overuse them.
  • Avoid writing words in capital letters as they are considered “shouting”. Instead, emphasise words by using bold or italics.
  • Explain the acronyms (afk – away from keyboard) when you use them for the first time.
  • Avoid abbreviated texting language like L8R – later.
  • Replay to a message under the same title (in forums) if the subject stays the same, if it changes, change the title.
  • Participate and share your knowledge.
